The Course (Revised 7/17/05)
This beautiful out-and-back course starts and ends at the new Depot
Park in Santa Cruz, CA. The course leads runners along the beautiful
shoreline of the westside and right through the heart of Natural Bridges
State Park with its towering eucalyptus trees filled with monarch
butterflies, to the outskirts of the city and the county bike path
heading west for the turnaround on the Old Cove Landing Trail overlooking
pristine Monterey Bay. The course is primarily flat and fast with
a few short hills at the mid way point. Course surfaces vary from
asphalt paved surface streets and paths to hard packed dirt and gravel. |
